Sales Consultant based Kent [MPI-01105]

A leading independent move-management company, specialising in domestic and international removals, requires a Sales Consultant based in their office in the South East.

The Role: Sales Consultant, based Kent [MPI-01105]

Scope:  The Sales Consultant is responsible for driving bookings by proactively selling moving services in the private market place.

Responsibilities:

• Use marketing leads to explore personal move needs, qualify the lead, and create an opportunity to provide a solution
• Contact the customer as per the Sales and Marketing Service Level Agreement
• Discuss by phone/ email/ and/or book video survey appointments for field surveyors
• Brief surveyors to ensure sharing of the customers’ needs and potential issues and concerns
• Design and advise on solutions (including pricing and presenting quotes)
• Guide and support customers to find the correct solution for their needs
• Negotiate and finalise prices and terms
• Hand over to the customer services teams, with all relevant paperwork and systems updated
• Provide support to confirmed / unconfirmed moves
• Monitor pipeline and personal, team and department sales/conversion targets and KPI’s
• Negotiate rates with suppliers to maximise gross margin
• Work with the sales director to formulate and develop future sales strategies
• Taking a continuous improvement attitude to all aspects of work
• Survey properties, on an ad-hoc basis during peak periods,
• Build positive relationships with colleagues offering support and guidance

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working in an office in a moving / relocations environment essential
• Good level of English and Maths
• Good IT Literacy, Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook; CRS/ Moving Database preferred
• Knowledge of removals and associated services
• Experience of working to meet targets and KPI’s
• Telephone sales experience, with proven sales success
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent listener and negotiator
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail
• Experience costing and sending quotes
• Positive, can do attitude; able to work autonomously
• Ability to work under pressure

The Salary: £25,000 – 28,000 + commission on personal sales
